Walter Hamilton Investments Corporation
Walter Hamilton Investments was born in the early 1990s as a solution to the ongoing problem of temporary housing for the seasonal workers in the hospitality industry. In the beginning, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we provided dormitory style housing for seasonal workers for the four-star resorts on the Grand Strand. We met this need by supplying comfortable, affordable housing in remodeled efficiency models that we purchased for that purpose. We eventually expanded outside of Myrtle Beach to our present day national coverage. We now are the sol provider of temporary housing for many hotels and resorts nationwide. Our clients include areas like Hilton Head Island, Boca Raton, Naples, Destin, Pigeon Forge and Sacramento. We now offer temporary housing for seasonal workers, as well as other employees of the hospitality industry.
Our accommodations now offer two and three bedroom luxury apartments, most of which are in gated communities. We provide our tenants with all furnishings, appliances, cookware, dinnerware, linens, cable tv, all utilities, and the items they will need to set up house keeping when they first arrive. They basically move in with their toothbrush! Our program is designed to offer a painless solution to the employers for an ongoing problem. Our program is designed to be no-cost to the employer. Employers don't have to be involved with locating housing and setting it up. They don't have the expense of security and utility deposits. They don't have to worry about having the extra manpower to handle these extra, unexpected tasks.
How do we acquire accommodations for such large numbers of people?
By bulk leasing large sections of mostly newly developed apartment complexes, we are able to negotiate more favorable rental rates. We locate apartments in good neighborhoods, with public transportation, and within walking distance to local shopping and entertainment venues. Because of our concept, we are able to offer conveniences that the employees normally would not have because of cost limitations. This in turn, increases the employees level of satisfaction; creating a situation that is more conducive for the seasonal employees to excel in their job expectations. When the employees are happy, the resort guests are happy; when the resort guests expectations are exceeded, they are happy; which in turn, makes the managers and the hotel executives happy!
